Nostalgia & owned music

I visited my parents a few weekends ago and was given my old cd collection, then subsequently bought a $25 DVD burner (yes, from Amazon), then started ripping my old CD collection.

Now I have an even bigger library of music I outright own 😄 (granted, I technically already owned this stuff, but I have all of it digitized now). This adds nails to the coffin of music streaming – I’m still paying for Apple Music via the Apple One bundle, but I have a romantic ideal of eventually having an library of owned essential media, directly supporting a couple of artists each month to build up that library, and canceling this stuff.

There are some goodies in here, including some guilty pleasures, and some old southern CT local bands I was friendly with.
