“performance”

So my last single was an angry anxious rant about surviving late capitalism, so it’s only fitting that my next single is going to be an angry jaded rant about the performative nature of late capitalism.

It’s appropriately titled: “performance”

It’s got everything: 90s homages, lyrical callbacks to my first album, dreamy guitars, yelling, piano improvisation, & even a vocal feature from Brenna Menz.

Even better: the Bandcamp version is actually a collaborative EP containing 5 different takes on the song. My internet friend ilyBBY contributes not one, but two remixes, and Brenna’s vocal stylings are all over the thing.

It’s yet another example of the music community here & elsewhere online that continues to thrive in this otherwise precarious time. I hope this is a fun example of what’s possible when we come together as artists.

Out Friday 10/3 on Bandcamp, 10/10 everywhere else. Hope you enjoy.
