The fediverse music community

When I announced Unstream earlier this week, I posted all on the socials, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see the reaction on Mastodon:

I have virtually no following there nor do I know how to build one, but I think I figured out how: Post really interesting stuff that resonates with the people you want to see it. Hashtags still work there as ways to signal who you want to see a given thing.

The community there (or, I should say, in the ActivityPub Fediverse generally) are arguably some of the most interesting people doing things in music & technology, and every single discussion I’ve gotten into has been thought provoking and constructive, never succumbing to rage or banality.
