Unstream mission, values, operating principles
First, some context: I’ve been reading Eric Ries’ new book, Incorruptible, and it’s really challenging me to think about the work I do and how to keep it in pursuit of things I care about. I am grateful once again to be employed by a company which acts as if it’s been following the guidance in this book for most of its journey.
With Unstream, I am in control of its destiny (at least today). I don’t have any plans to incorporate it as a business anytime soon, but given my recent admission of a larger ambition I have for it, I felt compelled to put together a mission, vision and values statement for the project. I realize that writing this down is nothing special on its own, but writing this down also gives me something to guide me and hold myself to, and potentially others in the future.
