“the grass is quicksand”, the single i’m dropping next week, is inspired directly by the here & now. it’s controlled chaos. it’s sarcastic frustration in song form. it’s relentless like the relentlessness of creeping fascism & nihilism all around us. it’s me forgetting for a minute how good I have it until I see how bleak things are for everyone else, and how that’s only coming for me too unless things change. but it’s also a frenetic blues waltz???
