Reframing my music release strategy to this:

I don’t care much about maximizing reach anymore. I release music for myself, friends, and current & potential followers of my work. I go about finding those potential followers in community spaces where I can be myself and my ideas resonate, including irl.

I believe this type community may exist on this Mastodon server; I aim to seek out those new pockets here and elsewhere.

The people in those places are who I want to find, not some passive listener on a (text/video/audio) feed full o’ slop.
