INFINITE NORMAL track 5: “softener”

This is a song about numbing oneself. I originally wrote the lyrics back in
2012, imagining it as a sort of healing song, like someone came to help you fix
the broken pieces of yourself. But in the context of the album, and with the
changing of the chord structures, that someone came too late and you’re left
hazy & withering, with the TV playing something you don’t even recognize.
