Excited to share the new @Buffer Home screen, out now for our web app 🏠

This was a fun project to work on because it’s not a flashy new feature, but rather a new hub that brings together Buffer’s tightly-integrated social toolkit. (It’s also very pretty, I must admit 💅 )

Before this, the Buffer app has never really had a home page, which is wild to think about. You sign up, you go through onboarding, and you land right in the scheduling interface.

For an experienced user, that’s great! The calendar is the product for a lot of people.

But for someone who signed up two minutes ago, it’s a strange place to start. We were dropping new users into the “existing user” experience and hoping they’d figure out the rest.

We built Home to change that. This is the first major change to Buffer’s user experience since our visual redesign back in March, and really is meant to expose users to the full suite of what’s here: your streak & goals, community comments, our new API, your upcoming posts, a bit of inspiration. New users get a calm setup guide; existing users get everything at a glance.

Here’s my home screen as a sneak peek!

What does yours look like? How are your social goals tracking? How can we make this more helpful to you? Let me know!
